Owen is 5 and started riding at HORSEPOWER in the Spring of 2022. We have seen his confidence increase since he started. He absolutely loves coming to HORSEPOWER to ride. It is the highlight of his week. He loves everything about HORSEPOWER, including the volunteers and staff, especially Ms. Barbara, whom he refers to as “my Barbara”. Owen has autism, ADHD and is globally delayed. We chose HORSEPOWER because they are able to provide a therapeutic experience that assists him with growth in all areas of his development. He is learning to be gentle with animals, and riding is a calming experience for him. He thinks riding backwards is fun, and he especially loves trail rides, and pretending his horse is a firetruck. We are thankful for HORSEPOWER.
