What HorsePower Means to Me
 
I love riding at HorsePOWER. It is one of the highlights of my week. I look forward to seeing Trader, my favorite horse. When I am riding Trader, I feel like I can do anything. Once I am on the horse, I just can't stop smiling. I know that Trader loves me for who I am and all the things I can do. While I may not be able to speak to him, we do have our own way of communicating. Trader and my side walker, Colleen, and the other volunteers are always curious to see what nail color I will have on for my ride. They are all so supportive and create a wonderful environment where I feel included. In addition, the therapy riding has helped me with my core strength and balance. During the riding, we also do activities that help with academic skills. I am very thankful that I've been able to ride at HorsePOWER for so many years. To me, HorsePOWER means LOVE!
