HorsePOWER has been a part of my life since I was 15 years old. From the moment I stepped onto the farm and volunteered for that first class, I knew that this was what I was meant to do with my life. Twenty-five years later, I am still just as certain. I have always said that I get just as much from the horses as our students do: a sense of calm, complete trust, and reassurance.
 
Trixie is my current “favorite” horse, although this changes almost daily. I know that I can take any of my riders out of their wheelchairs and place them on her back, and she’s got them. Although she is the smallest of the HorsePOWER herd, she doesn’t know it, and will bravely show the way for anyone needing reassurance.
